Mary Kay VoxBox

The Mary Kay VoxBox was my very first box I have ever received! I was amazed at the amount of products that Mary Kay had supplied me with. Here is what was included in the box: bronzing powder, translucent loose powder, mineral cheek color, cream eye color in Apricot Twist, Lash Love mascara, gel eyeliner with expandable brush applicator in jet black, and NouriShine Plus lip gloss in Mango Tango.

Before I received the Voxbox, I had never tried any products from Mary Kay. I must say that I am impressed with the quality of their products. I love each product I have tried in this box. The colors are perfect. When used together, all of these products create a perfect look. They leave your skin glowing. My favorite products would have to be the bronzer and lipgloss.

To anyone who has not tried Mary Kay, I would certainly recommend them in doing so. I can be picky when it comes to make-up and I was so happy with their products!

Thank you MaryKay and Influenster, for the opportunity to receive this amazing box full of beautiful products!

A Perfectly Accessorized Beach Bum

Beach Necessities

Jack Rogers beach shoes / Tory Burch pink tote / J.Crew metal-frame sunglasses / Body moisturizer / Egyptian cotton beach towel, $46 / Lilly Pulitzer Tumbler with Straw Let's Cha Cha / Monogrammed Sand Buddy | Drinkwear & Summer | Marley Lilly / Adult Derby Hat-natural color / Lilly Pulitzer Sunglasses Strap | Lifeguard Press

We are only 4 weeks away from our family vacation to Hilton Head, South Carolina! We are renting the perfect beach house right on the ocean. While there will be plenty of golfing, there will also be many hours spent on the beach, of course in beach bum mode. I can't help but to think in advance what I will need for the many trips to the beach.  I created this small list of perfect accessories that I think will make the beach even more enjoyable.

I have to buy a sand buddy! You can find them at marleylilly.com. Just stick it in the sand, and you have the perfect place to keep your technology or drink sand-free. I also want a monogrammed beach hat for two reasons, the obvious reason is to protect my head from the sun, plus they are SO adorable.

Every beach goer needs a cute bag to tote their items to the beach in. I adore this Tory Burch beach bag. While I don't have one, I have a Lilly Pulitzer shoreline tote in "Let's Cha Cha" which I love just as much. Speaking of Lilly, their cups are perfect for taking to the beach or anywhere for that matter.

The Lilly Pulitzer swimsuit, listed above, is also on my wish list. I adore the style of the top, plus the print is really pretty. When I lay out in the sun, I love to apply this Hawaiian Tropic shimmer sunscreen. It leaves your skin with a perfect sparkle and it's only 20 spf so you can still get some sun.

I have most of the items I will need for Hilton Head, just a few things to purchase and I will be ready to go!

{Simply Not Enough Time in the Day}

I want to apologize for my lack of posts lately. It has been a long 12 days since I have blogged. Some of ya'll may be curious as to why. My answer is, life has simply been busy.

I have been crafting many items for my Etsy shop customers, and I am recently a nanny of two boys! I work during the day and craft at night. What they say is true, "There is not enough time in the day." However, I love blogging and I don't want my busy life to stand in the way. I promise to blog at least once a week. I do not believe that this is an unreasonable goal to accomplish.

I love the quote above, "You can do anything, but not everything." It is a reminder not to stress about getting EVERYTHING done. All though you can accomplish anything in life, it is impossible to do so.

Thank you to my readers for understanding my recent slack in blogging lately.

Lilly Inspired Canvases Available in Southern Ervin Living the Shop

Summer break means more time to show my artsy side, in between nannying of course. I have always wanted to attempt to paint a Lilly Pulitzer pattern. I can officially say that I have now accomplished just that, and pretty well I think.

I am in the process of adding more items to my Etsy shop, Southern Ervin Living The Shop- Click Here to Access

I want my shop to include many different crafty creations produced by myself. Since I was a child, art has always been of great value to me. I want my shop to showcase my love for art.

With that being said, my first Lilly Pulitzer inspired canvas, featuring You Gotta Regatta is now available in my shop for $30.00!

I LOVE this print, it clearly says summer. It will look fabulous in any room.

Be on the lookout for many more Lilly inspired canvases. Also, I will be adding monograms to a selection of my paintings!

I would love to here which patterns you favor, and which ones you would like to see in my shop, please comment below.

{Printed in Whales}

What I am wearing: Whale Button Up Shirt- Target, Shorts- Old Navy, Monogram Necklace- MyPersonalized Etsy Shop, Bangle-Target, Watch- Michael Kors, Bracelet- Pandora, Leather Crossbody- Dooney & Bourke, Monogrammed Sandals- Jack Rogers

Finding time to dress myself in something other than Nike shorts and T-shirts, has been a struggle during finals week. I am happy to say there is only one more exam standing between me and summer.

I love this simple but preppy outfit. I adore button-ups that have little prints on them. When I came across this whale button-up at Target, I had to snatch it up. For $15.00, it's an inexpensive and versatile top.

I then paired this shirt with simple white shorts and Jacks. I believe keeping it simple allows for the whales to steal the show.

{Goals to Accomplish This May}

It is important that everyone has some sort of goals in mind. For me, I want this month to be about being more healthy. I hope to make small changes that are beneficial to my health. These are small goals to begin with. You have to start somewhere, and that is to begin with the little things.

When setting goals, it is helpful to have some encouragement from someone in your life. For me, my husband is my word of encouragement. He will always help me strive to accomplish anything that I want to.

I encourage ya'll to set goals that are specific to your needs and know that you CAN do anything you dream of.

Feel free to share with me your May goals, I would love to hear them!
