Navy Comfort

What I am wearing: Polo Hat- TJ Maxx, Earrings- Tory Burch, White Blouse- Forever 21, Yellow Statement Necklace- Old Navy, Monogram Necklace- MyPersonalized Etsy Shop, Rose Gold Watch- Michael Kors, Drapey Tuxedo Pants- Old Navy, Metallic Sandals- Old Navy, Crossbody- Vintage Dooney from Poshmark

I absolutely loved today's weather. The humidity was low, and the cooler temperature reminded me of Fall. I am beyond ready for Fall to be here. It is most definitely my favorite season.

I wanted to dress in something a tad bit warmer, I am cold natured, so I put together this perfect outfit. I just purchased the Old Navy drapey pants and I am in love with their comfort. It will defiantly be a go to piece.

I paired my navy drapey pants with a white blouse and a yellow statement necklace. Yes I wear this yellow statement necklace quiet often because it is so versatile. Navy and yellow are one of my favorite color combos so I had to bring it out again.

I could wear ball caps everyday, so I had to top this outfit off with one. I love how you can wear a ball cap with almost any outfit. My personal favorite is pairing it with a statement necklace. It creates a comfy yet casual look.

A Kate Spade DIY

Who doesn't LOVE Kate Spade? But let's be honest, it is very pricey. I have always wanted one of the the golf inspired wristlets. Recently, one of my friends had shown me this DIY. I just knew I had to try it out for myself.

Here is what you will need:
-Sponge Brushes
-Fabric Paint in Choice of Color
-Iron on Letters
-Plain Canvas Wristlet
-Masking Tape
-Iron

I purchased all of my supplies from Hobby Lobby and it totaled in at around $15.00!

Step 1: Line the masking tape across the wristlet to create a clean line. Make sure that the tape is smoothly taped down with no wrinkles.

Step 2: Paint below the taped line.

Step 3: Line the iron on letters up however you prefer them. Hold the iron on the letters for a couple of seconds.

Step 4: Slowly remove the masking tape.

Step 5: Allow to dry flat.

Tip: I went with larger letters because I picked a small word for my wristlet. If you use smaller letters, I believe it will look even more like Kate Spade. But I like the unique flare the larger letters give mine!

Yes, it is that simple and adorable! I would love for ya'll to make your own and share your pictures with me!

My Favorite Color is Neon

What I am wearing: Neon Top-J.Crew, Neon Yellow Statement Necklace-Old Navy, Skinny Jeans-Old Navy, White Scallop Bangle-Old Navy, Rose Gold Watch-Michael Kors, Charm Bracelet-Pandora, Metallic Gold Sandals-Old Navy

I felt the need to bring out the neons for today's outfit. I love all of the details in my J.Crew top. They incorporated many different colors of neon into this item of clothing. I simply paired it with my neon yellow necklace to really accent it. Anytime you are dressing colorfully, I believe it is important to tone it down a bit with the rest of your clothing. For instance, I paired my colorful top and necklace with dark jeans that way it is sure to pop!

Branded in Blue

I recently bought a custom logo for my shop that I also wanted to incorporate into my blog. In doing so, it required me to change my entire blog. Change is a good thing right? I have always been a huge fan of different shades of blue. I love how greenish blues contrast with a lighter blue. My inspiration came from a few items around my home. What color combinations are your favorite?

Feel free to leave me comments on what you think of the NEW Southern Ervin Living.

20 Things You Must Accept In Your 20's

I recently read an article on things you must accept in your 20's. I found so much of it to be true. In my own life, I have noticed as soon as I turned 20, many things began to change in my life. I wanted to create my own list of changes I believe everyone in their 20's should accept. Here they are!

1. More than likely, you will grow apart from the friends you once had. I have recently come to realize and accept this to be true in my own life. However, I do not see it as a disappointment. I see it as an opportunity to surround myself with new friends that can improve my overall well-being.

2. Your body is going to change. As soon as I hit 20, I noticed my metabolism began to slow down. Do not let this get you down. Use this as motivation to push harder and create a healthier you.

3.  Your relationship or marriage is not going to be perfect. I can vouch that the married life is not perfect and will never will be. There will always be disagreements with your significant other. Always remember, it is so important to marry your best friend, not your "dream" man or woman.

4. You will ALWAYS need your parents.

5. Let go of what could have been.

6. Nobody can really be trusted. I quickly learned that the only true people I can trust are those within my family.

7. You are not going to be rich in your 20's. I am not broke by no means, I am very blessed to have everything I need and beyond. However, debt does exist with school loans and a car payment. This is part of life and it teaches you how to manage money.

8. The job market is not the greatest. You will constantly have to work hard in order to land your dream job.

9. Not everyone is going to like you.

10. You may feel alone sometimes. This is ok, you will learn to rely on yourself and become a stronger person.

11. You may fail. If this happens, learn to stand back up and dust yourself off.

12. Things may not always turn out how you imagined they would.

13. You are never going to be perfect. I sometimes find myself putting un-needed pressure on myself in striving for perfection in everything I do. It's ok to be the best you can be, but realize everything will never be perfect.

14. People will try to define you and categorize you, don't let them.

15. Surround yourself with people whose company you genuinely enjoy, who make you laugh and give you things to talk about. Life is too short to make small talk.

16.  Don't spend time with or insist yourself upon someone who does not recognize your greatness.

17.  Nobody's opinion is more important than your own.

18.  You will never know everything. We are all learning.

19.  Always allow yourself joy.

20.  Don't care about what people think. They don't deserve your attention. You have way more important things to focus on.

Anchored Down

Anchors have been my summer staple. I just love how versatile the anchor pattern is. You have the ability to mix and match different color jewelry pieces, and even shoes. How great is that?

For today's outfit post, I paired my anchors with a yellow statement necklace. Navy and yellow is one of my favorite color combos. I also put my monogrammed Jacks into the mix. They literally match anything that I want to wear them with, which is why I LOVE them.

Here is what I am wearing: Anchor Dress-Old Navy, Yellow Statement Necklace-Old Navy, Charm Bracelet-Pandora, White Jeweled Bangle- Target, Seashell/Starfish bracelet- Hudson's in Hilton Head, Rose Gold Watch- Michael Kors, Shoreline Tote- Lilly Pulitzer in Let's Cha Cha, Monogrammed Sandals-Jack Rogers.

"ANCHOR yourself to something special."

VoxBox: Surfs Up

Summer is in full swing and Influenster did a fabulous job of picking products perfect for this time of the year. Here is what I received:

-Jamba Juice Smoothie Kit (Not Pictured)

-Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration After Sun
-First Aid Shot Therapy
-SinfulColors Professional Nail Polish
-CoverGirl Bombshell Volume by LashBlast

I have never been the girl to use drugstore make-up products. Unfortunately, I am sold on expensive make-up. However, I wish I would have tried the CoverGirl mascara sooner! It creates the voluminous lashes EVERY woman wants.

I have yet to test the Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration After Sun or the First Aid Shot Therapy, well because I haven't had a ton of sun exposure or a headache. That's a good thing right?

Also, the SinFul Colors Professional Nail Polish I received, is in a perfect minty color. It will create a fabulous summer mani or pedi.
"I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes."
